humans can live on a 27% limit Oxygen and 73% other gases. but it has to be clean non toxic like helium. that is our breaking point any where lower we will start to fall asleep and die. CO2 at 13% and anything over that we get CO2 poisoning again death. Only way to avoid oxygen depletion is to stop forest cut downs plant more trees and limit oil/coal/fire because these things burn up oxygen and produce too much CO2.

Natural adaptations occur over many generations through genetic mutation. For them to become widespread then almost all of humans as we know them today would probably need to die out and the newer 'improved' humans would slowly take over. You're looking at a few hundred thousand years, probably.
Because we know that plants act as natural exchangers, we'd probably just build giant greenhouses, air scrubbers, etc.

We will die in the short term. In the long term like billion of years we will evolve in to some thing that is adaptable to the existing conditions then.

We'll be dead, then plants will thrive again, and then well mutate from micro organisms and evolve into human beings again

We'd have to sacrifice all the idiots who are using up the precious air....until we figure out another solution.
