Are you serious? How about the fact that Hezbollah commited an act of war when the rocketted Isreal and attacked an army outpost. The invasion is called self defense, not terrorism. Additionally, Israel's soldiers wear uniforms and do not hide themselves among the civilian population unlike terrorist groups like Hamas, Al Queda and Hezbollah.

When Sadam Hussain invaded Kuwait, he did so to annex it. Kuwait had not attacked Iraq.

Another huge difference, Israel is a democracy, Hussain was a dictator.

The actions of the Israel Gov. are to be condemed, but what would invading israel acheive? What would they do once they have invaded Israel. I don't side with the Israeli's in this conflict, but they have a right to exist. The problem is in Middle East that there is too much conflict - you cannot bring peace on the tide of war. Besides, who are Bush and Blair to invade another natiion - we have invaded Iraq and Afghanistan and that has had little benefit.

Actually quite a bit of difference. Israel was a state redeveloped after World War II. The peoples living there were of Islamic beliefs and spent a long time attacking and terrorizing Israel. There a few books on the subject, the one I most recently read was Raid at Entebbe by Ira Peck. So US and Great Britain are going to stay out of this fight.

So, it's not OK to attack terrorist countries that come into your country and take people hostage? Israel is surrounded by countries who want to kill them. I wish the US government had half the balls of Israel. Israel has tried time and time again, ceasefire after ceasefire, even given some of their land back when they only have a fraction of what is really supposed to be theirs, and it's clear to everybody that Palestine and Hezbollah don't want the strife to end and will do everything in it's power to provoke more bloodshed. Hezbollah pretty much does anything Iran tells them, and they ALL HATE THE US AND ISRAEL. Israel is God's chosen people, and we should help them in any way possible. If we turn our backs on Israel it would be very bad for our nation.

Israel is responding to an ACT of WAR perpetrated upon them by military forces in Lebanon. But this time, they're not pussyfooting around and worrying about the idiotic opinions of the world's anti-Israel morons. I do believe they mean to wipe out Hezbullshitah. Good for them.

Israel are not invading Lebanon, and with Hezbollah there, they are kinda provoked. Kuwait did nothing, but exist.

I do not agree with what Israel is doing, not even close, but you have to understand this is not Iraq.

Israel is surrounded by nations that have large numbers of people who want to kill Israelis, you have to understand, this is a totally different situation than any other.

I'll tell you. You go to Lebanon to a town square a howler out as loud as you can , Hey everybody I am an American., see how long you last. Now go to Israel and do the same thing, you probably want even get a glance.

The US and Israel are allies, Israel is actually US's #1 source of foreign intel.

The US would never attack Israel under these circumstances.

Because B&B can't bully Israel like they do else where in the world. Israel have 'the bomb' and like all other nuclear counties (N.Korea) B&B wont invade because it'll be WW3 if they do. They only invade countries when they 'think' they can win.
