Is Embarq/Sprint DSL any good?

I want DSL but Embarq is really the only one available for me and Roadrunner is too exspensive

I had great service from them (Sprint) for 18 months in central Texas, then after the EMbarq switch my service went to pot and despte repeated calls 8 - 10 and 3 techs to the house they haven't fixed it. I'm probabaly going to switch to Clearwire.
