I like this question!
I believe we need to protect folklore. Although they're just sories, they're also apart of history, and traditional beliefs. It's ones knowledge of their culture, and if that's destroyed, we lose all evidence of their ways.

Yes because its part of heritage, or the history of a race. Folklores are also partly true like urban legends of modern times. But these folklores are usually stories of ancestors and their achievements. It can also be legends of how things came to be in your part of the world. Nowadays with the influx of MTV and other modern day topics, folklore isn't a popular topic with teenagers of the past decade. But it will benefit people in general especially when they have a need for it.

The romance in life, it is all about our folklore and other stories.It is a sub part of history,makes us aware that we are no one without our past.It is this that unites all of us around the world.If only we could realize how close we really are!

Yes, to preserve the traditions, the myths and the fairly tails for furture generations.
Many less people would benefit by doing away with it.
