Lock the cell by Format - Cells - Protection then go to Tools - Protection - Protect Worksheet. then your done!

You have to protect the whole sheet I think - without this cell protection wont work - its under the tools menu I think.

elect the cells you favor to guard. Then excellent click, then format cells... on the protection tab, there's a field that announces "Locked". positioned a examine on all cells you favor to guard, get rid of the examine mark on cells you do not favor to guard. Then on the significant menu, in evaluation tab, click "safeguard sheet". you'll come across a message will pop-up whenever you write to achievable-free cells. wish this helps.
