Women in power. I'm all for it. My wife is in charge of my household, but not because she is a woman. Because she is smarter and more procatical than I am.

Having said that, I don't think that the fact that you are a woman (black, gay, transvestite, hispanic etc, etc.), should be a qualifying factor. If you can't get in on merit alone, then you have no business being there. I can't abide anyone that pulls the race/sexual preference/sex card. It demeans everyone's intelligence, and belittles those that have worked so hard to get what they have in a legitimate fashion.

If you look at animal society, you will see that the females are in charge in a great number of animal cultures. Wolves for instance, have an alpha pair, but the alpha female is usually larger and more powerful than the alpha male. Elephants also have a matriarchal society, as well as whales and dolphins.

Sex is not a factor, bucko. What really matter is the administration that the person use to run the country and vice versa. For example, nowadays a female leadership is being prepared in NY becasue she is trying to grasp as much support from power connections there as she could, now that's a politician that knows how to rule.

No idea what your point is actually. I don't see any patronization happening, at least not here in the States. I don't see any reason why a woman cant run for a leadership position. There are many woman in almost all levels of government. If you are referring to the presidency, it is only a matter of time.

There are plenty of women that would have been marvelous presidents, Margaret Thatcher comes to mind... Hilliary Clinton does not.

News for you buddy, I live in a country with a woman Primeminister, Chief Justice, Governor General (=President), Queen, Attorney General, the CEO of our largest company is a woman. Guess what, its still one of the best and most stable countries to live in the world. Get over yourself, it doesn't make any difference, politicians are still wankers irrespective of gender and business people are still business people. What stupid century do you live in?

Do they? Where are you from? The United Kingdom has already had a female Prime Minister, in Margret Thatcher, who was even re-elected. I also believe that Germany currently has a Female Prime Minister.
