Former CIA officer Valerie Plame claims top White House officials exposed her cover to get revenge on her husband, Joseph Wilson, for criticizing President Bush.

WASHINGTON (July 14) - The CIA officer whose identity was leaked to reporters sued Vice President Dick Cheney, his former top aide and presidential adviser Karl Rove on Thursday, accusing them and other White House officials of conspiring to destroy her career.

We often hold/blame the press for 'leaking a secret'. How accountable should we hold those who are entrusted with the secret, after the secret has been leaked ?

Should a Grand Jury with full subpoena powers be impounded ?

Is a trial by jury warranted ? Should the jury trial be criminal or civil ?

Does Valerie Plame has a case against Vice President Dick Chaney or the press, or both ?

This isdefinately a ploy to get the media's eye and hopefully sell more books with the publicity she will get from this case.

Valerie Plame's claim is without basis and this is why….

Former CIA officer Valerie Plame has agreed to write her memoirs for Simon & Schuster, weeks after a reported seven-figure deal with the Crown Publishing Group fell through.

The grand jury dropped all indictments related to this case because at the time of the so-called leaking Plame was not a covert operative. It was well known common knowledge that she was in the CIA.
