If Israel was a rogue state, how come it has fought 5 wars and still not used its nuclear weapons? It would be easy enough to nuke Dumbasscuss and Terroran.
Iraq, on the other hand, used its chemical weapons as soon as it could get its hands on them, even against its own citizens.
Also, don't forget that Iraq's health care included free torture and execution from the 'security police'. You could ask the million Iraqis who received this free treatment but they are all dead.
As for the UN resolutions, you need to check the type of resolutions issued. Those against Iraq were under chapter 7 of the UN charter as opposed to chapter 6.

The reason is simple...
Israel would attack "ANYONE!"... Iraq, Iran, etc would attack enemies, but would hesitate at attacking a major power unless it was a last resort as they know they would eventually lose. (I dont mean the war - they were attacked, they didnt attack first!)
Israel on the other hand has money, influence, a major army & defense industry, a population of soldiers (israelis have to preform national service), AND a very bad attitude.. (I think they have forgotten what happened to them in the last war - look at their brand new "Wall")
Israels attitude to being pushed, is to push back - Hard! When a country like that has nuclear weapons - are the UN really going to push them?
Why can't everyone see, that to progress, we ALL have to work together.. Just think where we might be now if the space program hadn't ground to a halt with the moon?

the 2 main reasons to start war in Iraq were:
1. Iraq does not respect UN resolutions,
2. Iraq has WMD.
Facts for Israel:
1. Israel does not respect UN resolutions (or does very few)
2. Israel officially does not have WMD (even everybody knows they have).

Point #1: Israel did not invade Kuwait
Point #2: Israel did not use chemical weapons on its own people
Point #3: Israel does not pay the families of suicide bombers to blow up innocent civilians
Point #4: Israel did not shoot at international planes monitoring the no-fly zone
Point #5: Israel, since 1948, has pledged to abide by international law. The Palestinians have yet to form a real state and be willing to do the same.
Point #6: Israel does not possess WMD's for the purpose of using them to attack.
Bottom line: The international community can trust Israel, and hence, afford to give them better treatment in the U.N.

Israel has not declared its goal to be the elimination of all its neighbors. They have done more then they should have to gain peace, they give money to the Palestinians, they give up land, yet they are still attacked and invaded on a daily basis.
Iraq had shown itself to be a vile state, killing millions of its own people, invading other countries without provacation and was a threat to the world.
If you think Iraq has been completely destroyed you need to wake up. If you think Iraq and Israel compare at any level, you need to wake up. If you stating the Iraq had better average incomes then the UK, you should be asking yourself why are they so low in the UK? Why is the UK not doing better?

See also the USA, a rogue state with nuclear weapons (with a history of using them) and WMDs. The difference between the US and Iraq is that Iraq let the UN weapon Inspectors in.

Perfectly agree.I think that as long as Israel refuses to sign the treaty of non proliferation of nuclear weapon it's a danger for the world...So ,yes they should be treated by the UN the same way Iraq was.The only problem is that as long US has veto right in the UN council this thing won't be possible...

No it is not a rogue state in the context of the Iraq and Iranian being one. Israel is a small unit that will defend itself and it should. The problem is we are not living there so who are we to judge. All I can say is peace is a long way away and WW3 around the corner if we don't sort out the whole middle east soon.

actually, the rationalization North Korea all started finding out the bomb is they observed what surpassed off to Iraq and Afghanistan. That, plus the damaging rhetoric in the U. S. in route of them gave them solid reason to be scared. it ought to also be talked about that the biggest rogue state (the U. S.) has had guns of mass destruction for sixty 2 years.

The fact that israel has always been the "cherished child " unlawfully gives it the blatant right to behave as it is currently doing. If others are openly encouraging it to do whatever it deems right ,how can one blame the UN for not doing so? Rogues kill children. So what do we call countries that send rockets to kill the innocent ?
