...is there anyway to recall/cancel delivery of the message once it has been sent? Quite embarrasing if you have chosen the wrong recipients...

Do not recall - Recall does not work very well if your mail went out of your corporate network. The recall works pretty good if you are recalling messages sent to your collegues. Otherwise never try that. Recall will sent another message asking the recipient to remove the first message. That is even embarassing. Hence it is better to write an appology and ask them to delete the mail.

If you are using an e-mail application (like Outlook) then the answer is yes: just open your sent folder, right-click the mail item and recall.

You arent able to do this using online mail provider (like Yahoo! for example)

That's really embarrasing, but no way to reall it. You can only edit it to resend the mail via "Sent Items".

Yahoo does not have message recall.

There is a recall option available atleast in MS Outlook.........
