And add another veto to that list. Just yesterday America once again vetoed another UN resolution attempting to stop an Israeli invasion into Lebanon.
Some of the people on this site (Americans) make me laugh!
A military faction in Lebanon kidnap 2 Israeli soldiers. Lebanon as a nation, as a government, as a people, have nothing to do with it and they offer to do everything they can to help.
Israel's response: drop leaflets on the areas they're about to blanket bomb (where they hope they might hit a bad guy) then drop a massive payload killing at least 50 and injuring perhaps 150 more.
Bush's response: Israel is doing what it can to protect itself from terrorists.
How in God's name is bombarding cities in the vain attempt you hit someone protecting yourself!? Surely it's creating an escalation which is just going to GUARANTEE more violence!
But that's the whole Bush house of cards isn't it.
The war on terror can never be won because it is just propogating more and more terrorism. Just as Israel's stance today has nothing to do with prevention and everything to do with displaying the size of their guns.

I agree, and we pay billions more to Islamic countries! That's just stupid. Cut off the funds. Stop this socialist nonsense. We give billions to African countries, Asian countries, European countries. Let's cut it back and spend more on our people and self-defense, like the Star Wars program and other defensive programs.
If we spend money on other nations, it should be to buy something, not as a gift or loan.
Our national deficit (highly misunderstood) is tiny compared with what other nations owe us. We should slowly start cashing in, and when they don't pay back what they owe follow through like we did in Mexico when we acquired Texas (though that's a more complicated story), New Mexico, Arizona. And when other nations try to cash in investment in the U.S.A. we should pay them by going into other nations and taking what they owe us and refuse to pay.
And when the entire banking and international stock markets crash, we'll all come thank you.
I do hope people realize the money we give to other countries is for a multitude of purposes, and such simplistic arguments are just a way to "diss" them, no matter what country we are talking about. I wouldn't mind cutting back on the socialist give-away, but there are reasons for the money that are too numerous to to into here, but easily researched.
The argument that this question puts forward would have been far more effective if aimed at ALL the monies given away by the government, instead of being just another attack on Israel that you expect everyone to blindly join in on.
We are a free country. We see through such transparent attempts pretty easily, no matter what side tries them.

Easy people, Israel never engaged or openly partnered in War waged by the US in any area of this world, period.
In fact, Israelis killed Americans in the USS liberty attack and the case was played down ever since.
The poor Jewish people need home, after they wiped out six million of their kind in Nazi Europe some 60 years back. Now even if they got spoiled a bit with the gains they got ever since, they are just looking for peace. Help them out with every penny you can muster, God will reward you big when the time is ripe.

Actually that $90 billion is not in cash, it is discount for military and material acquisitions. Us British and the Germans receive more then ten times that amount each.
Second of all, thousands of core companies in the US such as HP, Dell to mention but a few, are Jewish owned, thus America also stands on a big Jewish pillar, so its not supp rising if it wonts to support Israel.
Should you think otherwise, you have to ratify alternative contributions to America's troubled economy. You want the Arabs to buy out all your ports just coz you owe trillions and wake up later to see your Jews are gone but your Arabs are there and simply shipping all the earning back to Arabia?

Are you just on this site to be anti Israeli? I take it you approve of Palestinian murders of innocent men, women and children and of Hamas saying it deliberately targets schools and children.
Do you not think that your questions bolster the terrorists. Who by the way have close links to AL Qaeda. All the Arab terrorist groups are anti American and will remain so long after the Israeli problem is resolved. Before you say it that is not linked to the problems of American support for Israel but because Americans are seen as infidels.
So I suggest that you are not just anti Israeli but anti American and pro the slaughter of the innocents!!!!

We've wasted money on virtually every country on Earth. Why should Israel be singled out?

i desire the Israelis get the pastime executed this time. do not depart any Islamic terrorists alive in Gaza like they did in Lebanon. I and something of the international are drained of Islamic Terrorists and their extremist clergy. with any success the Shiites and Sunni will initiate a civil warfare and kill one yet another off. That way we may be able to all have peace contained in the middle east. The Israelis and Kurds need to inherit all of it.

Why didn't you single out Syria and Iran, sponsors of terrorism or Lebanon for having a terrorist group as part of its government. Israel is entitled to do what it has to to protect its people.

no matter what that country is always picked on by all the anti jewish community... i say send them nukes... and let them get rid of some idiots, u know pakastain, syria, iran.... and so on...
Im for them getting help from us.. in fact I think we should pull our troops from Iraq, and persue this new war, and just maybe.. we can get rid of all the iran people and pakastain, syria... and so on
