Why is it that Israel can at anytime, anywhere, just bomb a souvereign country like Lebanon, just because two of its soldiers got captured by Hezbollah? I am not saying Israel hasn't got the right to protect itself, but then, I don't think there was a declaration of war on Israel by the Lebanese govt. You just can't bomb another country just because you feel you are superior and God's chosen people, without considering the resultant effects on the civilian population. The Israelis have killed even tourists /4 member family from Brazil/, and I think they have added another anti-Israeli sentiments as a result. Bravo!
What proof has the Israeli govt. got that the Lebanese govt. was behind the killings and kidnappings of the 8 or 2 soldiers respectively? Because they suspect so?
Why doesn't the Arab nations raise their voices in as a chorus and protest this?
I think the Arabs have the right to say that with the help of America, the West is out to destroy them. Am I not right? Any justice?

The hypocrisy isn't on America's part, its those who condemn Israel's right to defend itself when they would do the same if their own country were under attack. Hezbollah is an armed militant group with terrorist leanings, supported by and to some extent a proxy for Syria and Iran, that controls the Southern half of Lebanon. It is thoroughly integrated into Lebanese politics, so much so that they are allowed to operate autonomously and the Lebanese government refuses to disarm them. They crossed the border in a raid, kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, and initially killed another five. Since then they have been firing rockets indiscriminately at Israeli cities. Proof? Hezbollah admits all of this and so does the Lebanese government -- they admit the acts but they do not call themselves terrorists.

No country in a position to do something about it tolerates cross-border military raids from its neighbors. Israel has about 1/45 the population of America so if you want a sense of scale it would be the equivalent of kidnapping 90 American soldiers and killing another 225. If any neighbor of ours did that, inside our own borders, we would bomb them in a second.

If Lebanon is a sovereign, then it must control the military forces inside its borders. If it cannot control its military then it is by definition not a sovereign. You can't have it both ways.

you constantly are attacking Israel from
what is suicidal points
thats schools houses refugee camps
they fire back at the points they where fired from
this results in deaths
I USED TO SAY CIVILIAN DEATHS
but I am not so sure now
as they must know WHO & WHERE these people are firing from
so why if they are civilians do they stay there knowing they will have fire returned upon them

IS Hezbollah and the Lebanese govt,
Holding them as prisoners there to make them look like
Martyrs, Innocent Civilians,
OR is it the hatred for Israel that is INBRED in them so overwhelming they are willing to die
for the cause

Hezbollah and the Lebanese govt,
Are breeding hatred in the way they attack
by using SCHOOLS etc etc etc
so return fire hits non-combatents
(non-combatents formely called civilians)
Atirring the Populace up ,Making them think Israel is attacking them for NO KNOWN REASON.
There own people given LIES by Hezbollah and the Lebanese govt,
So as I said before get rid ofHezbollah and the Lebanese govt then this destruction WILL STOP

Monso is absolutley right on this one guys. Get your facts first before you start saying Isreal is the bad guy here. Yet I know you won't All Isreal wants is to be left alone live in peace. As we do in the U.S. War is ugly and it's never fair, as long as we are a predomintley barbarian people as a whole innocient people will always be hurt the worst. The leader of Iran has said more than once it is his and all moslums obligation to rid the world of Isreal and the western infidels. Only problem is we don't wanna go just quite yet. If you don't like it I'm sorry, and yes Isreal has the right to kick *** as we do to keep on keeping on.. you can twist it and turn it and mold it to fit your moral conception of what's right and point fingers and condem the U.S. and Isreal till you are blue in the face but that's not going to change a damn thing. peace bro

You are COMPLETELY wrong. As I just finished saying on another question. We flew across two oceans to bomb the crap out of Afghanistan and invaded it, because they harbored a terrorist group responsible for 9/11. Afghanistan did not declare war on us, but they simply refused to handle the terrorists within their borders.

There is NO difference between that scenario and the scenario between Israel and Lebanon. It would be EXTREMELY hypocritical if we were now to tell Israel they cannot do what they are doing.

The US and double standards go hand in hand.
No justice, just us(rest of the world).
And the american people do nothing as long as they have big huge oil guzzling cars to move their big fat asses from McDonalds to the Mall.
It will take education of the US populous before it will change a thing.
Or you could stop its oil?Seems to upset them.

You are probably right on the button but thats all they need since the Patriot Act.

Truely shocking.

would not say some thing about Israel preferable the Ecstasy commerce and that i'd in no way believe they could out produce American college scholars. If each American that needed one had a pot plant in the back backyard we would not opt to spend money killing people over it. The prisons ought to have room for murderers and thieves. little ones don't have criminal files because of a substance not one 10th as deadly as beer. we ought to all giggle extra. u . s . of america desires to deliver troops to Pakistan and seize the Taliban and their opium growers in the midsection and wipe them out once and for all. Even the useful Muslims ought to like that.

No, it's not double standards, it's only support for Israel.

Double standards can be noted when, for instance, Hamas retaliates to an Israeli aggression you'd hear something like :"That barbaric attack is a blatant disregard to any value of human life," but when Israel wipes out a couple of homes including their Palestinian dwellers you'd hear something like: "We understand Israel's security concerns and its right to live in peace and we call on self-restrain."

America means double standards, create war, sell weapons, sell so called American democracy. (where people, press has no power, everything controlled) Whole world knows about it, but money talks, that is the problem. If Americas economy collapses America will colapse.
Then people will see that America had no brain, has no brain and will have no brain.

The hypocrasy arises because what is actually the best thing to do has to be ignored because of self interest or indeed so called national/international interests. The hidden agender to maintain power over others !
