Im sorry but the first 3 posts here are completely ridiculous.
The UN is not run by Arab nations, ever country on the planet has a say, if Americans cant face it that they world isnt as in-bred and hypocritical as you its tough.
Secondly,. yes Israel fights for its survival, as it should, but think of the disparity. Its army is one of the worlds most mechanised, do you seriouslt think this is a 'war'? Its a one-sided slaughter, and Israel is completely spitting on the rules. You do not bomb civilians or civilian infrastructure, what purpose does attacking hospitals hold? Yes, Hezbollah are terrorists, but using their methods to beat them makes the Israelis as bad, if not worse, then them

When the UN condemns Hamas, Hezbollah, PLO and other Arab and Palestinian group/country for the same things then I'll pay attention to those resolutions.

By the way. The UN doesn't prohibit national self defense.

"Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defense if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. Measures taken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defense shall be immediately reported to the Security Council and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security."

No, we have never invaded a country for breaking U.N. resolutions. We have invaded a country (Iraq) for breaking a cease-fire on us, invading their neighbors for conquest, and for attacking us (Iraq in the no-fly zone between Kuwait and Iraq, Afghanistan sheltering Osama and friends).

If they are breaking U.N. resolutions, the U.N. should always back such things up with action by encouraging sanctions and trade embargoes on the nation involved. If the nation becomes criminal in it's acts, like Palestine stealing that soldier, they should back up the nation so maltreated and just pass resolutions of a precautionary nature (such as military force by a group of nations should Israel NOT return to their former borders after they have gotten the terrorists who stole the soldier and the soldier's body). That would be reasonable.

since the UN is mainly made up of hostile Arab countries that can't stand the existence of Israel their resolutions are totally ridiculous - did you know that Israel is the only country not allowed to be on the security council? - but Libya and Syria are ?

Read your cited source. U.N. resolutions are presented and voted on everyday. 17 against Saddam were ratified and the U.N. took no action. Your own source shows resolutions against Israel were vetoed...Never ratified! But You "think" Israel should be attacked? Well! Terrorists agree with you, let's hope they pay the ultimate price for their aggression!

If they keep up what they're doing....The un will have to adopt a resolution very fast...Massacre is taking place. It would be a humiliation if no countries were to take serious measures..Enough with the talking, start acting!!!
