Ok. after the windows has booted up and the icons pop up, the windows sign comes on and then a long pause. After that, windows pops up with the media center(video, programs, setting, and other things are on) comes up. Do you know how to get that from coming on? Sorry, cannot think of a clearer discription for you.

I don't understand clearley what you mean, but you can try this:
Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and click the Set Program Acces and Defaults Tab. There You can manage which programs to run at start up and which not. Just remove that anoying program. If this not work try using TuneUp WinStyler, it has a manager of which programs to start up also.

If msconfig doesn't pick anything up, you should try Autoruns. It's more complicated, but it will show you a more exhaustive list of things to look at. Be careful, though... a lot of what starts up at system startup you actually need. Do your research before turning anything off.

ok, get out of your media center and run msconfig. look under startup adn see if you can find an entry for media center.. if you can, uncheck it.
if there isn't an entry there, try under services... it shouldn't be there, but it won't hurt to look.
then apply, and restart.
