There is a right answer to this - but it is not that Hitler had any Jewish according to any birth records. Any one who tells you such things exist showing Hitler had Jewish parentage of sometype is either lying to you or is just ignorant. For a hint as to the answer to this question think as to what Hitler and the Nazi mythology said was the true "Aryan." If you want to see just how wrong their mythology is go to Iran (which means land of the Aryans) as an example of this foolish folly.

The best answer that I've found is that Hitler *probably* had no
Jewish ancestors. The uncertainty arises from the fact that his
grandfather, Alois, was registered as an illegitimate child. Alois'
mother worked for a wealthy Jewish family and there is some
speculation that she had an affair with a member of that family.
However, most sources I've seen regard this as very unlikely.

The way I heard it, his maternal grandmother was Jewish. According to the way Jews reckon things, you are what your mother is. By this reckoning Hitler would be Jewish.

I don't know if it is an 'urban myth,' or not. I do know that stranger things have happened.

The Irony of it all is that if you truely believe in the bible, then we were all Jewish at one time... Jesus was a Jew.
