That's not love, it's submission. Which is also fine by the way.
Love isn't about doing what a person asks of you, it's about doing anything you can to help them achieve what they need to achieve. It's about partnership, team-work and being best friends. Sometimes what people want and what they need are two different things. This something that every responsible adult should know about themselves and everybody else including their partner.
For example, if my fiance asked me to go and have sex with someone else I would say no. This is because I love him. If I were to obey this order, I would not be giving him what he needed, only what he wanted. He needs me to be faithful to him so that we can have a happy life together and remain friends. I can perceive this because I know him very well.
However, the flip side of the coin is that I trust my fiance completely and I am 99.9% sure that he would never ask me to go and have sex with someone else. I also know that he has a pretty good idea of what he needs. So in effect I will do anything he is feasibly likely to ask. But people are unpredictable and living by a set rule such as 'I will do anything my partner asks' is likely to end in heartbreak. Adapatability is what has made humans the dominant species on the planet. Surely this shows that it's best to be adaptable?
If you do whatever a person asks you, you are submitting to their will. If this is the kind of relationship that you want, that's fine and is your perogative. Everyone should choose how they think it's best to live their life. But you have to realise that though you may love the person, they may not love you or may end up not loving you. If you always obey orders without question, it's very easy for the person doing the ordering around to lose respect for you, especially if it isn't part of some prearranged master-slave agreement.
So beware of following orders unquestioningly. It's one thing to know that you love someone enough to give them your last breath, it's another to let them tell you what to do, how to live and who to be. See the difference?

I would like to say yes, that would be my immediate gut answer, but then again, would I really? Or am I more self-centered, inherently, then I care to admit? Hmmms. It's an interesting question.

Be careful letting your heart rule your head it can have long lasting effects.
Especially when the rosey tinted glasses we wear fall from our eyes.

Hummmm.... not yet but I would love to!
Dear its very easy to (so called) die for a person but the most difficult part is to find a person worth dying for.
And I m still lookin for with my lonely heart, whom I can give all my love to.
Sigh.............

nope! nobody is, and if someone told you that they do, dont believe them, they are just taking you for a ride, (e.g. prove to me that you love me. eat 20 lbs. of dog sh*t and jump head first from the top of sears tower without parachute, i wanna see your brain splatter on the ground) i dont think there's somebody out there who will do it just because her lover ask for it.

Yes, and then lived to regret it!
Don't do anything that goes against your morals, don't do anything that would put yourself in physical or emotional harm and basically don't do anything that THEY wouldn't do themselves!!
