People grow and change over the years. Many times they grow in different directions and are not as compatible as they once were. I think with divorce being so easy to obtain, they choose that route. Those who have no guts and no value of their own self worth just cheat thinking they can have their cake and eat it too.

I don't know if it's always necessarily a question of satisfaction. I think that sometimes people are just not as mature as you think they are because they feel the need to play the field. Sometimes the other person "is just there" and they don't think about the consequences. It also could just be an easy way out of a relationship they no longer want to invest in. I wish it were simple to pinpoint one particular reason, but there are so many possible reasons.
Of course, not everyone will cheat on their spouse and these people all have their own reasons for being faithful.

That's why there is a song "It is sad to belong to someone else when the rght one comes along." WHY ? Really have to go back to basic. Why get married in the first place ? Why choose the mate you have chosen ? Do people get married for the right reasons ? What are the right reasons anyway ? I suspect many get married becasue its something they have to and most of the time to the wrong person at the wrong time.

Anyway, some people are misguided by lifestyle excesses and society. They might end up with someone just to have someone, not because they're necessarily in love. So that's one reason why these people might feel unsatisfied.

because most people think after a while they can get a better relationship than the one they have at that time, when in reality most do not realize what they had until they muck it up by trying a new partner, grass is not greener on the other side, it is just mowed by someone else so you don't have to keep it happy! love roccks!

I have never understood this: why marry someone if you are not intending to be true to them? And it takes guts, and real determination to overcome life's trials and frustrations. Everyone has them! What makes one different - one person to another? I would sooner be true to my husband, then stab him in the back by cheating on him with someone else! I don't know how people who do that can look at themselves in the mirror. What awful guilt feelings they must have under their false smiles. Not okay at all. [And, what goes round, comes round!]
