A French lawyer is fighting for the French to replay the Fifa World Cup because the referee should not have red carded Zidane for that head butt, if he used the monitors replay to actually see the incident, I certainly feel if the referees used the monitor to see the head butt, I think that they should replay the Final of the World Cup, What do you think ?

France deserves to replay the match, because of that referee thing and also because they deserved to win anyway. But, no matter what we say or think, Zidane did headbutt Materazzi...
France lost, it's really sad but that's the game, we have to accept it.

Yes, we get it, Zindane did commit a horrible foul by headbutting the guy. Thats not the issue thats heating up the press. The issue is whether the 4th official (and only one who "saw" the foul) used the aid of video replay to advise the head referee. If video replay was used, then Zidane should not have been given the card...simple as that. Its the rules of the game folks. Unlike american football...replays are not used in soccer. The only law that counts is what the officials on the field see with their own eyes during the run of play. Now as far as a replay of the match goes...I wouldn't go that far. You can't simply schedule a replay of a world cup title match. Even if it were replayed...Zidane would most likely not be a part of it anyway. Video replays are used to suspend players after the match has concluded for subsequent games. Example being Francesco Totti being suspended at the 2002 world cup after video replays caught him spitting on an opposing player. Who knows what will happen, but its definately not the way I saw this world cup coming to an end.

Its impossible to have a rematch. And there is no reason why there should even be a rematch.
If anybody sees the game, they should know that the zidane being send off is not the reason why France lost. France lost because Trezeguet failed to score in the Penalty. The zidane incident has nothing to do with why France lost. However i do agree that the referee should show both red cards to zidane & materazzi. That would be fair to the both teams. Its just unlucky that france lost.

Hey dude it's impossible to have a rematch , the result already showed that italy won the cup ,it will not be fair for them if they play twice the final not only for them but to all the participant in the world cup like maybe just pick Australia ,it's not fair if they loose by a penalty kick that's rather a dive from grosso, but still they can't do anything a game is still a game there is a winner and a looser is just that simple , maybe France will get that rematch in Africa

Now thats not possible is it?France were more dominant but but u have to give credit to the Italian defence and especially Cannavaro. Some of the tackles that he made to stop Thierry Henry was just brilliant. I wish there was no one called Cannavaro. Then France would have certainly won with Henry getting a hat-trick.And if that would have happened what a wonderful day would it have been---a blind Arsenal fan.

I'm not a real soccer fan but I do believe in being honourable and mannerly as a sportsman at that level. Its an obligation at this professional level and demands good manners no matter what the provocation.
The match should not be replayed as it would stir up 'memories' of unsavoury behaviour between the players.
It's over!

No, I think not. The best option for the referees - read: REFEREESSS - was to give the red card for both players! Then we were all satisfied.
