Ferry to Penang and then drive to Cameron! You can also take a bus, but you will have change at Ipoh.

best is to drive. Too close to KL, so if you can hire a car and drive there. The hill road is quite pleasant to drive these days, not so winding as in the past.

bus... if u can afford then take plane to KL then change to bus
