Acceptable - there are no acceptable displays of anger. You are expected to be in control of yourself and explain why it is that you are having a problem with what ever situation you are in.

In Korea and Japan, its totally acceptable to punish your child by hitting them, which is totally not cool. I experienced alot of that when I was growing up over the stupidest things, cause that is how my parents were raised over there, but yeah, I'm from SoCal so deffinltey not doing anything like that to my children.

In India parents r allowed to beat their children when they r angry
Some men beat women but its in uneducated ppl.To speak in raised voice BUT good language is accepted in household quarrels.
