It did have a proper ending. They just ended it the way they did to set it up for the third one. The Lord of the Rings did the same thing.

Absolutely. What a waste of money, we only got half a film !
I really don't like the way everything's about making money out of people nowadays.
Prehaps we can sue them under the trades description act ?

Jack Sparrow and the Kraken IS a proper ending! ;)
But yeah, the franchise needs to keep us hankerin' for the third!
