ihave a few times, but my favourite was when a work collegue who was of the older generation was told that the words to the song ......sit down next to me......were sit down on my face... it was hilarious when the song came on and we all went quiet listening to her sing it ...she went ape when we eventually told her what she'd been singing lol

I do all the time! At practice the cheerleaders play their music which I've heard and liked but don't really listen to and sometimes I sing along to the chorus and I remember looking up the lyrics and finding out I sang it wrong!

Yup! Dave Mathews Band Song> Crash in to me < I think thats the title. Although I love the band and that song; for a a couple of years I thought he was a sicko. The part when he says> hold up your skirt a little more < I thought he was saying > hold up your skirt little boy< Especially after watching the video and noticing the scottish type skirts. I was convinced he was saying "little boy". Nope, I was wrong.

I like Giko's answer alot! His version of James Blunt's song Beautiful is very funny. I feel the same way! Anyway, I also sing songs and then I realise the lyrics were wrong!

I had been singing "Drift Away " incorrectly for years (Im 42, so since it has been released) ...and nobody told me!! I realized
it not long ago when I was singing in my girlsfriends car and the correct words were so obvious to me!! I sang it like this "Give Me The BEACH BOYS To Free My Soul"!!!!! Now I know its "BEAT".

plenty of time...
my current fav is this (sung to the tune of james blunt's you're beautiful):-
My job is stupid,
My day's a bore,
Inside this office,
From 8 to 4.
Nothing ever happens,
My life is pretty blank,
Pretending that I am working,
Pray I don't get canned.
My cubicle, my cubicle,
It's 1 of 62,
It's my small space,
In a crowded place,
Just a six by six board booth,
And I hate it, that's the truth.
When I give a sigh,
As the boss walks by,
No one ever talks to me,
Or looks me in the eye,
And I really should work,
But instead I just sit here,
And surf the internet.
And my cubicle, my cubicle,
It doesn't have a view,
It's my small space,
In a crowded place,
I sit inside there too,
And sometimes I sit here nude.

Hot Chocolate - You Sexy Thing - I always thought he said "I believe in knuckles" (as a child I didn't know what knuckles were - thought it was a grown up sex thing).
My best friend always thought that in Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, Freddie sang 'Spare him his life from these Walls sausages'! - makes me laugh every time I hear it now!
