Do you think that a 16 year old dating a 21 year old is wrong?

No, this is not much of an age difference. There is no state where it is illegal to date at a certain age a few have 17 or 18 as the age of sexual consent, but no matter what if sex is not an issue you can date whomever. Alot of people automatically assume anyone under 18 having sex or dating someone 18+ is illegal and majority of time they are all wrong. Very few states have 18 as age of consent and those that do never really do much for 16+ yr olds having sex with someone up to two years older, this is because they really can't due to high school dating situations.

yes, and here is why:
The developmental stages of a 16 year old and a 21 year old are completely different. The 21 year old is unbound and ready to make thier own decisions in life.
A 16 year old is just coming into thier first glimmer of adulthood, still unwise to all thethings that make the world dangerouse for a young person.
dating a 21 year old would put the 16 year old in one of two positions; either forcing them into making decisions about things they are not wither ready for or properly informed of, or they end up having the 21 year old making decisions for them. Neither situation is good for the 16 year old.
AS far as the 21 year old, dating a 16 year old would only hold them back, keeping them from moving on to the next stage of devopment. there are things that a 21 year old should be discovering and living that a 16 year old can not do. And what about going away to college when your gf/bf is tethered to HS?
So no-definately NOT a good idea.

I'm not a teen, but I will answer anyway, I think the 21 is a pedophile. In most places 16 is under the age of consent, and this can get the 21 in lots of trouble.

Its not the five year age difference that bothers me, but the fact that:

The 21 year old is an adult. He can drink.
The 16 year old is still a kid. She can't, but probobly will if she's with him.

I think they both need to grow up a little first. I mean that the 16 year old should, atleast graduate from her teens, and then if she wants to date a guy who is a bit older than her, then I don't see anything wrong with it.
Atleast, both of them will be consenting ADULTS.

Well "most" teens are going to say no. I dated a 25 year old guys when I was 16. Lets just say I know now what he was after, it wasn't for conversation. But only you can really decide that, you are the one who know him. But in my personal opinion YES, there are so many reason why it is so so wrong!

i am 16 dating a 21 year old and we are in love. he is my rock and everything. so no i dont think it is wrong but it helps i knew him 4 years before hand.

Well only if they love eachother very much, then no it is not wrong. If Demi Moore and Ashton Cutcher are together, then the sixteen year-old and the twenty-one year old can do that.

It depends if the place you live in says it is legal to date someone too young for a too old. My parents are married from young to old just like that.
