by israel stiking the airport lebenon has returened 20 years into the past, and it was a very stupid thing to do. think of it ecnomicly tourists in lebenon are afraid to death, that will lower the amount of tourists in lebenon. and if hezbollah attacks israel, which may seem some what evediable, tourists won't be interested to go to israel. i say it is pretty stupid to attack lebenon, this will also trigger iran to want to attack on israel. and israel attacking lebenon for two "kiddnapped" soldiers is stupid. and yet i also think kiddnapping two soliders is stupid. israel is blown off, and so far it has destroyed the airport, fuel tanks, main roads, briddges, tourist's spot, al manar brodcast station. it is hell in lebenon. moreover their is no electricity in lebenon right now. tens of children and women are dead it is awful. what word may describe how it is in there. think about what has happened in palistine, while all eyes are staring at lebenon. i n lebenon it is now its 9/11, even more devestating. do i agree with it?? NO, i think it is STUPID. if u go back into history books , the jews where forced into that area after the world war, and they gained strenth, i won't lie to u, they are powerful . may God help all of us, and smoothin the tensions over there.

I think that the Lebanese may have been causing trouble for years and finally kidnapping those two soldiers were the final straw. If someone kidnapped my countrymen I would be pissed also. And they have proven in the past they are non-negotiable. The Lebanese people though I am sorry they lost women and children should have thought about the repercussions of their actions. If they love their families so much they should not have acted so stupid. Shame on them. They wanted something to happen when they took those soldiers. Boy, they want sympathy now. All they are trying to do is get people to support them. I have one word....... Dumb-***....... Use your heads. If you took my man or my son I would kill anyone who got in my way to save them. They took someones son, husband, father.

Its a massive fear based over-reaction which will only serve to alienate them further in world opinion. They really should learn to compromise a little bit and talk with their enemies to work toward a genuine solution. I know its a hard problem, but they are not the only people ever to suffer genocide. I know, my ancestors also suffered hideous genocides and my relatives were still being killed as late as seven years ago, but at a certain point you have to take a hold of your anger and fear and press on into the future with a willingness to live in the now and not to dwell in past injustices. which compound themselves into current problems. Invading a neighbouring country on a flimsy pretext as two "POW" soldiers and killing scores of innocent civilians and causing tourists to flee seems a bit stupid. But hey, I'm not there and only my opinion.

after WW II there was a plural of proxy-wars, with cold war parties financing the war parties.
there was north Korea south Korea, north Vietnam south Vietnam, and so on, then Russian and China were on one side and America on the other.
today we have proxy war between Iran and USA, they can not yet start a direct war, so Iran finances Hezbollah and USA Israel.
if Israel succeeds in finally making a successfully campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon, then Iran looses face and influence
if Hezbollah succeeds in making more captives of Israeli army or makes significant number of kills either Israeli soldiers or civilian
then Iran makes its power base in Lebanon more stronger

If a neighbouring country, kidnaps some of your country's soldiers and fires rockets at your cities, I would agree to an invasion of the neighbouring country.

I'm agaisnt wars, but I understand Israel's reasons. I don't agree with what they do, and probably there will be no benefit for them after it's over.
