is there anything to be ashamed of?

nothing to be ashamed of, really...
but some people want to concentrate more on what it feels like and less on what it looks like maybe...
or sometimes people might be more comfortable if they don't think they have to worry about what they look like...

my boyfriend likes lights on,am not ashamed of anything but I prefer lights off

They're self conscious about their body. There shouldn't be anything to be ashamed of since you're comfortable enough with the person to sleep with them.

No nothing to be ashamed of.
I don't turn the lights off, just dim them.
Who wants BRIGHT LIGHTS glaring in their eyes???

I do not think modesty is the motivating factor. Turning out the lights is a tacit admission that sex can be very ugly.

Some people leave the lights on...film it ....and cover the walls and ceilings with mirrors....it is all a matter of perspective. Some people are bored with sex and some people are obsessed.

Girls usually like the lights off when they're self-conscious of their body. Guys usually like the lights on because we're very visual.

I am not among them who want to keep the lights turn off, may people don't want to reveal them upon each other.

They are anxious about what the other person will think. Personally I think women look beautiful when they are ecstatic. So why switch off the lights.

Interesting side note, humans are one of a few mamals that have sex in private; most other animals do it publicly to show dominance and such.
