Because it is human nature to be materialistic. But yeah, I've thought about this too. Alot. Like now when i'm slogging my guts out for a measly sum of money to be able to fulfil my materialistic needs.

Oh Silly One. Nothing is free. Where have you been living? On a mansion on a hill? Are you going to give up your car, TV, computer, and etc.? The only thing you have free, is the oxygen you're breathing, if it's not polluted yet. You even have to pay for water nowadays

Because nature doesn't produce reliable electricity, toilet paper. Not even reliable food.

Besides, whats better than doing 8 hours of work a day and getting a house, heat, electricity, food, Internet, t.v., fun, alcohol, drugs if you choose.

I mean, if not, you end up working 16 hours a day just to feed yourself and your family.

I vote work over...uh work.

The sin in the Garden of Eden caused God to cast woman and man out of the garden and set a flaming sword at the entrance to keep man from eating from the Tree of Life. God dealt with the serpent/devil and woman first because they were the ones who committed the sin first and then with Adam. He was told that because he had harkened to voice of his wife, he would earn his bread by the sweat of his brow. God then cursed the earth and caused briers, thorns and thistles to cover the earth.
