I think that it was Saudi Arabia because they conceded 1 goal in the qualifying stage and never lost........but what do YOU think?

Saudi are not that strong, gaining one point wasn't all that bad, they nearly beat Tunisia in that match and lost to Spain by an odd goal.
I think China would be happy with 1 point in their next World Cup.

The most disappointing was England, loud mouths but little action.

I'm a fan of Japan and I thought that they performed way better four years ago! They weren't strong enough, especially the defence! I would like to pay attention to nr. 5 - Tsuneyasu Miyamoto - he gave a penalty away against Croatia! Good luck for him that he has a good keeper, this Kawaguchi! Well even Kawaguchi made a few but FATAL ''mistakes''... but it starts with the defence, which was poor. Yuji Nakazawa actually did SOMETHING to save the team...

And the other dissapointing team was Brazil, oh the world's favorites, but not good in shape!

I'm an Argentina fan and we kicked Serbia's *** and they had one of the best defence going in to this WC, also only letting one goal against them in WC qualifying and they do have a strong team just my team Argentina just gave it to them so i would have to say Serbia & Montenegro was the most disapointing team at the wc 2006. and if you say usa they where highly overrated and should of never been ranked 5th coming in to wc 2006, FIFA understands and are looking at new ways of making world rankings more accurat cause you cant be ranked 5th just because you are playing teams in the CONCACAF which most teams are ranked well above the 80's and to teams like Romania that play real good ranked teams and then cant qualify.if the usa would try to qualify vs teams in europe they most lickly woudnt qualify for the world cup and them to would be ranked well above the 50's in world rankings and you all know thats true.

not conceding a single goal in the world cup and not loosing any match in 1st round but still out of competition..

if only they had senderos and a better attaking gameplay

saudi arabia comes from almost the worst qualifying groups all over the world..

Czech Repubilc. Especially their defenders. Hopeless!
Serbia and Montenegro. They didn't win a match and lost so many goals. I don't think Sebia and Montenegro in 2006 played better than Saudi Arabia in 2002.

The Netherlands. They have some really good players they impressed during the groupd stages playing against Ivory Coast and Argentina, but their knock out against Portugal was the worst game I've seen them play, ever. They were overly conservative and their defence line was non-existent. They were lucky to hold on to 0 -1, and Portugals obviously were the better team and deserved to win but I felt the Dutch had potential.

Would have to say Brazil and Spain.

Brazil who were raging hot favourites never really hit their straps.

Spain as always disappointed. A very talented side but once again could make it past the second stage.

Personally, the United States. On paper, Brazil.

I think it was Brazil: so many incredibly talented players who couldn't work well as a team.

Oh, and France -- not their performance in the tournament, which was great, but the way they have been reacting since they lost (justifying their captain headbutting an opponent, threatening to punch an opponent in the face, etc).
