Would it help to talk to the other sex if you just thought of them as the same as you but with different parts?

It's easy to talk to anyone if you think of them as human beings - of one species. Not man and not woman. Not tall not short. Not superman and not a wimp. Without disabilities. Without handicaps. But most importantly, there is a brain in there no matter what. Some are just difficult to find. (^.^)

Sure. If you're having trouble talking to the opposite sex, then quit focusing on their sex and instead chat with them about neutral subjects like the weather, current events, or whatever. It's a good confidence-builder for shy guys.
But don't get stuck in the "friend zone" forever. Go ahead and build confidence that you can be comfortable in their presence. But at some point in the future you will eventually want to heat up the game a little bit and start courting them like girls again. Ultimately that's the object of the game.

Actually, that's not really true. We do have some fundamental differences in how our bodies and minds work, as a group.
edited to add: to the guy below me, if men "think a problem through", then why will they never ask for directions but instead insist on driving round and round like a fool? lol Are their "thinking caps" on vacation during car trips?

It depends on whether you are attracted to the person you are talking to. If you are, then treating them as a comrade rather than someone you may wish to have a more intimate relationship with *could* be a bad thing. However, some women prefer to be treated as both a comrade & something delicate & treasured. It all depends on the woman.

Woman was made from the rib of a man. She was a help meet/mate for him. We are therefore of the same flesh. And when a man and a woman marry God says they become one flesh. Complete in marriage. incomplete until.

Not at all. Women and men are very different. Men think a problem and women feel it. Of course their are exceptions but generally this is true.
