it depends on what the company DOES.
... without that, you could really just focus on the fact that if its 26 years and it is now 2006 that it puts the company back to a 1980 establishment date. people love history and longevity in a company - it makes them feel safe spending their money there.
it could be a then and now thing with pictures of the first store etc. or it could be a focus on the progress through twenty six years by picking one significant event from each year. it could also be a platform to tell people that the quality is the same now as it was in 1980. 26 years is a long time!

Before and after -- what has changed since the company was started -- for example, if it was 1980, Microsoft and the internet did not exist, Russia was the USSR and we were in the Cold War, Brittany Spears was not born(?), Hanging Chad meant that some kid was waiting for a phone call, ESPN was airing the Texas AM/Baylor game seventeen times in the middle of the night, MTV existed(?), The number one song of the year was (?), Snoop Dog was Charlie Brown's pet, Gas was a buck, FedEx did not exist, the number one TV show was MASH(?), Jay Leno was where(?), if you bought GM strock you would still have lost money but if you bought GE stock you would have made millions -- and your company did not yet exist.
Hope this helps?

Since the company started in 1980, Why not go with some "80's" theme.

It would help to know (quite a bit) to know what type of company. 26th - I would think the quarter century would have been the hallmark year at this point, but perhaps this year is the "one left over" ... so left overs.
