it's a few months old and it was very fast before and now probably within the last month it has been very slow(for these days) it won't play music and video clips all the way through(it will stop and go stop and) it was real short clips I could get...now it'll let the music play a bit longer...It's a toshiba lap top...Help me please

Get on the manufacturer website and do a computer checkup. I't probably running a lot of processes you don't need now.

If your lapop ic connected to the net, ever, then the chances are y are a victim of spywares and malwares. they keep useless processes on and thus slow down the computer. The best remedy for this would be would be downloading a very very nice antispyware software called ad-Aware se personal version. You can download the software from this link,

Install the software and run it. it will get rid of most of your spywares. But if the problem still exists the first check the amount of empyt space on your C drive. Low disk space can also be a problem. to overcome that you will just have to transfer as many files possible to the other partitions of your hard disk. OK, I dont care what anybody else says, but get Ad-aware. Go to download.com, or google, and search Ad-aware, download it, and give your computer a scan. It will search, and after it is done, click next, and it will delete all the tracking cookies, adware, and other bad things that go onto your computer. Its a very good program, and I use it, and 4 people in my family use it. Oh, by the way, it may be from so many tracking cookies piling up, or the adware that may be on your computer. Ad-Aware is free software by the way. Good luck :)

Be sure to defragment your computer! It may take a while, let it run over night. (Start, programs, accessories, system tools, Disk Defragmenter) Also in system tools, do a disk cleanup, preferably before you defragment.
Another method to quickly speed up your PC... (Click start, run, type MSCONFIG, press enter, click startup tab, check Disable All. Press ok, restart your PC, and check the box that pops up. This procedure will eliminate your background tasks and icons next to the clock that are running for no purpose. It will greatly increase the speed of your PC.

Hi, there maybe something wrong, such as virus with you IE.
i recommand you to try firefox.
firefox is powered by Google.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.
it can block that annoying ads and disable any virus on webpage. as you know, most virus are spread through internet.

Computer Slow
Download and then run startup.exe at:

Can't live without it and windows...
Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.
Other things to try:
1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)

cuz u got a lot of spyware and andware or maybe ur hard drive is full already.
download spybot from the internet its free it will clean ur laptop and will make it work faster. if u are in NYC i can help u to fix ur pc

first of as dleate all the temp file and intrent temprery file cookies

1.if winxp go to my computer tools manu folder option view show the folder than go to C:\Documents and Settings\your username
slect cookies dleate all of them than clic local seeting thare are option temp and temprery file dlete
if you dont like this matthade dowanlood cleaneer on nat
and install it this software dlete all fo tham just one clic
