If you are talking about yellowish underarm stains that come from sweating and anti-perspirant I know how to get that out. Take a cup of Cascade powder dish washing detergent, a cup of Clorox 2 Color safe bleach, and a bucket of hot water. Combine the soap and bleach with the water, stir around to dissolve and add the items that are stained. Let it soak overnight and then launder as usual. This takes out yellow underarm stains, it has taken out grease stains and all sorts of stains that I didn't even know what they were. Try it, it works.

Make sure you aren't putting colors or khakis in with the whites. Use about a 2 cups of white distilled vinegar with the laundry detergent. Or you can buy Biz or Clorox 2. Bleach weakens the fibers in clothing. But it is o.k. every now and then just don't use Bleach every time you wash whites.

stop making use of chlorine bleach on them. to shop shirts as white as achieveable wash in warmth/warm water and if necessary use "all fabrics bleach" each 2-3 washings. not some thing will turn chlorine bleached shirts which have yellowed all once extra to white.

Never, ever, ever wash white clothes in Woolite, and try to dry clean them as little as possible. Use Dryel to freshen them, and wash them on the delicate cycle with one capful of baby shampoo when necessary. I like to use Aveeno baby wash and shampoo because it has almost no color or smell.

Too much bleach will yellow your whites especially if you have hard water. Vinegar and baking soda help get yellow out, especially on under arms yellow stains.

bleach... and if it's turning yellow, you might have 'hard' water... which, in that case, don't use bleach... go to a laundromat.
