The can is hermetically sealed. Therefor, no harmful bacteria got into it, unless the can burst. Which is visually obvious. Even if the can can developed a tiny opening, (very highly unlikely), it would have an off smell or off-taste, (probably vinegary), which you'll readily notice long before you drink it. The gas should still be dissolved in the liquid. Cool the can down and open it and enjoy. If the gas has come out of solution. then it will taste flat and you'll know it very quickly and you can always water the flower bed with the can's contents.

This question is easily answered by tasting the beverage. If it tastes fine then all is okay. If not, the throw it away. I guarantee that if the product contains aspartame it will taste bad, since aspartame quickly breaks down at higher temperatures.

Not directly applicable here, but check into soda breaking down into benzene when exposed to light. Then look up the carcinogenic profile of benzene.
