Only if you have a freakishly large throat or a freakishly small airway AND happened to lose a tooth while taking a breath in (so that your airway is open and not the passageway to your stomach).

If that was the case, then my son would have choked when he swallowed his tooth when it came out.

I would imagine that would be difficult to do. It would seem like the same as swallowing a piece of food.

no kids lose their teeth while sleeping sometimes so they are going to swallow it and they dont choke but theres always a chance i guess..but not a big chance

If it swallowed no. However if it stuck in your throat yes. But neither event is likely.
