BRITAIN AND AMERICA; Which nation has had more influence in music?

to those uncultured individuals who think that America is better in all of the fields, allow me to tell you guys that BRITAIN has given the world the better talented musicians and better rock bands than
America and I can prove that;the Beatles,Led Zeppelin,Pink Floyd, Deff Leppard,the Who,the Rolling Stones,Queen and these are just a few of those too many gifted and talented musicians that Britain has given to the world.

Britain produces much greater bands. British bands produce music that influences all artists. In a word, British bands are inspiring. However, America is a larger source of musical diversity-- hip-hop, country, rock, pop, etc. America produces artists that claim global popularity. From a raw talent perspective, Britain produces better music. From an entertainment perspective, America is superb.

Lets go back to America, without our bluesmen there would be no Rolling Stones, Beatles, Zep, Floyd. America gave birth to the blues that evolved into R&B and Rock. Don't get me wrong, all of the bands you mentioned are great but the roots are all on US soil.

Well, rock and roll was born in America with Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard... but in the long run got to be UK with The Beatles, The Stones, Elton John, Queen...
even rap was created by a UK artist: John Lennon "Give Peace A Chance"

Well, all rock has it's roots originally in the blues and jazz, so without America it wouldn't have even started.

that's a hard one to answer. personally, i loooove the beatles, and the stones! both bands have greatly influenced some of my favorite bands! but you get from america more soul and folk that also adds to a great rock band.

i'm just going to be politically correct and credit both great musical countries.
