I'd say Michael Young also. Guys that win batting titles usually get recognition. Ask people who the top SS is and its Jeter, Tejada even J. Rollins(who is a bum).

Carl Crawford would be a close 2nd. Everyone knows Soriano. He is a bad fielder, good hitter and baserunner that can't stick with a team.

I'm going with Michael Young as well... Most people don't even know who he is and now he has an All-Star MVP award to go with the AL Batting Crown for 2005. In terms of pure hitting ability, he's the closest active player in baseball to Paul Molitor, a Hall of Famer. Add to that the fact that he's an above average fielder and a very humble guy and you've got the makings of a superstar -- he just doesn't get the publicity because he plays for the Rangers.

Soriano is underrated, but the most underrated would have to be Ryan Freel. Do not get me wrong, Freel is not going to wow anyone with his numbers, but he will play almost everyday and almost anywhere. He is hitting around .300 with a handful of steals. Any utility player is generally underrated, because they rarely excell at one thing.

Mark Loretta of the Bo Sox is the most under rated. In the AL @nd basemens are impossible to come by and he is hitting lsightly over .300 with a couple of home runs and 40 or so RBI's in a leauge where great 2nd basemen's are few and far between Loretta sets himself apart form the competition with not only his bat with his glove as well. Go Red Sox

I'd say Brandon Inge and Curtis Granderson of the Tigers and So Taguchi of the Cardinals are pretty underrated.
