Zidane should have to play till next Euro 2008 Cup?

No he made his decision a while ago & should stick to it. He has been at the top for 10 years & he is 34. Remember he actually retired from international football last year & was bought out retirement as a last ditch attempt to help France qualify for the World Cup & win the trophy.

He has done remarkably well in getting to the final & that will never be forgotten, the fact that he didn't get the fairytale ending of winning the World Cup on his last day of football is a sad & even more so in the way he bowed out...but his decision should stand, playing to the next Euro 2008 cup may not give him any better ending to his glorious career & at 36, I am not sure he will be the same player. Its time for the next generation to take the stage.

Zidane would not be playing at this year Euro after retireing in 2006 international cup. The captain for france now's Patrick Veiera and Vice Captain is Willy Sagnol. notwithstanding as a frech supporter, i'd want zidane to be plaing and bullying hsi defender back.

Why? He was a great player, but it's his life and if he wants to retire only he can make that decision. If he kept going and didn't play well you would probably be one of the first to be slagging him off for not knowing when enough is enough. He's done the right thing and quit while he's ahead.
The red card was deserved but shouldn't detract from his greatness.

I think i would like to see Zidane retire now before he gets too old, He would be expected to pull out match winning performances and at a late stage would not live up to his hype,People would then slate him it is better he leaves the game as a great(with a little head butt)then comes back and does n't perform!

It's high time for him & figo to hang up their boots & let the young be as rich as them.Their path is towards coaching now which every one wants to take over alex fegerson position & the salary.As a coach all you need is to shout & stress better than broken toes & others injury.Both should start asap so by 2008 they will be their country saviour again.

That's up to the player himself. He's decided to retire so we have to let it be.

In 1978 Johan Cruyff decided not to play at the WC 1978. About 300,000 signatures were collected to have him play but in vain. He stayed home. Moral of this story is that once a player has made up his mind he's not going to change it.

Besides that it is time to give young players a chance, especially looking at the average age of the french squad.

What I think would be great is if you could come back and help not only redeem himself but redeem France. Also before retiring you should do his best to mentor the team to not focus on him and play even more as a whole.

I don't think so.Even though he's good every player knows when to retire.Besides what he did in the 2006 World Cup at the final was very rude.
