To answer your example, I don't see anything wrong in calling a black man, a black man. What I do see wrong is when people say the N word. That gets me pissed off even when other blacks say it. And for speaking my mind, I just did by answering your question so I don't think that I am afraid.

When could u ever do this in America. Come on. We've always been a hypersensitive group with our rights and beliefs tatooed on our foreheads, thumping our chest to demand our rights and respect. That is really what this country was built on. Look at the Rev. War, Civil War and all the wars after. They were about, "We are Americans and YES, Dam mit we are RIGHT! If you don't do as we say and believe as we believe, we'll fight u!!! Beat u!!! and make your grandkids just like us!!". But hey, It's worked for us so far, so why end a good thing. I love my country.

The place I work at is very diverse there are people from everywhere. There are a few Africans at my job, who hate it when black men from America are called African American. A few of these guys told me that it bothers them because "African Americans " form America are not African they are American. He then goes to tell me that you don't see white folks calling themselves Europeans Americans. I am from a interracial family, and my uncle and his wife, who are black , says I should say "Black".... so i normally don't identify people by their race if I know them I user there name if I don't I'll refer to them by clothing or laugh anything that will describe that individual.

People do tend to be hypersensitive, there is no doubt about that. And true, people do not admit mistakes, and don't apologize for their misdeeds anymore....people explain, or make excuses......"I'm sorry I crashed your car, but (Insert a reason why it is not their fault.)
What can you do?
