When women say they want a strong man, what does these exactly mean?

I think they want a man who has a principles, strong minded, but treated them gently with respect. so they feel save, being protected and could count on him. In this case nothin` to do with physical shape.

Strong meaning a take charge type of guy. Like when they call you for a date they have it all planned. A guy who knows what he wants in life and how to go about getting it is a strong type. Not necessarily one who tells you what to do all the time and orders you around, more like a strong decision maker. A strong guy will not hesitate or ask you what do you want to do all the time, he just does it and takes you with him! If they wanted physically strong they would say they liked big muscles.

I don't know about other women, but if a man tries to

set me up as an idol in his life, tries to make me 'responsible' for his feelings (which are his choice only, if you think about it), or for that matter tries to

set himself up as an idol in my life, take responsibility for things in my life which are between me and God, or

treats me as an object to fulfill his needs, the object of his greed and not his love (and especially if he were to grow abusive when I refuse to fit his little mold),

I'm out of there - unless he already got out because he just couldn't stand being with a strong woman who refuses (quietly but nonetheless...) to play along with his games.

Bottom line: I want a man who has a really strong conviction that there is only one God, and lives accordingly.
