Right now, I'm pretty sure that a giraffe has the same number of neck bones as we do, but I haven't checked if it is 7 or not. Each of them is much bigger than ours, of course.

Seven just like us.
When you compare a short person (say a Pygmy of 1.45 m.) and a tall one like a basketball player of 2.20 m., do you wonder about their number of neck bones as well?

I believe that it is the same as in humans, in which case it is 7. The vertebrae are just longer and larger.
