I think the attacks are terrible! To all you heartless people who don't care about anybody but themselves should really feel ashamed of what they have said on here. I don't even know the real reason as to why there is this 'war' going on in Lebanon but it is wrong and there are innocent people getting killed! Put yourself in their position and you can only imagine how they are feeling now! Such heartless people on here!!!!

I think Israel has something related to skeptics disease but totally different.

Skeptics disease is something like this: If you were right 50 times in a raw, nothing in the world will convince you that will be wrong on the 51st time.

Problem is for Israel is that they act as a skeptic every single time when every single time they are wrong.

The answer to violence is not more violence. It has bombed the sh*t of people and still there is no end to it. If you kill someone's dad by mistake, that someone is more likely to seek revenge when he grows up. Sp he joins Hamas or Hezbollah or something and a new circle of violence starts.

Israel has to let go of the prisoners most of whom were put in prison for simply resisting the occupation.

It has give up all of the Gaza strip and west bank and allow the Palestinians to have a viable state where people can actually live a normal life.

This is not an equal situation. Israel and the Palestinians are not equal. No Israel prisoners are Palestinian prisons(except for 1 soldier held by hamas). Israelis can actually work and have a normal life. The have a somewhat viable economy and an acceptable unemployment rate.

So do not tell me that Israel and the Palestinians are equal. The Palestinians were driven to desperation.

Hezbollah for it's own motives acted against Israel. The official goal was to get Israel to release the prisoners. I think this is more like wanting the right things using the wrong methods.

But am not sure if Palestinian prisoners could have be released any otherway.

Sadly, the majority of the Lebanese are going to suffer through this like they always have. After decades of Syrian manipulation (because of which Hezbollah maintains such influence), they now get to face Israel again.

The attacks were inevitable. Israel won't do the traditional "prisoner-trade" for its soldiers until well after its local enemies rue the events that started it all. Nonetheless, its Israel's more distant enemies that look on and grin.

Israel, therefore, is also caught in the traditional "catch-22" -- Do nothing, and their enemies are emboldened ..... Be aggressive, and their enemies are indignant. Sadly, neither the average Lebanese, nor the average Israeli have anything against the other.

It's crazy. And it's a powder-keg.

Good on Israel, they have been patient for far to long. It is about time they took some action and showed these terrorist governments who is boss. They have been bombed and fired on and they get suicide bombers EVERY day, but you don't hear it on the bias news reports.
I am glad they are taking out Lebanon, the government is behind the kidnapping of these soldiers.
If another country took American soldiers THAT IS AN ACT OF WAR and a country has the right to defend itself.
Go get em Israel and don't stop at Lebanon, go for Syria and Iran, you should nuke Iran Israel.

You could be sure the US would fight back if it were being attacked on its borders. Israel has a right to defend themselves. I feel bad for the Lebonese though...I have a friend in Beirut who just e-mailed me today saying he was fleeing the country for the time being. Doesn't want to take any chances with the hostilities escalating.

You co-religionist are always praying to god to help the Arabs in its quest to dominate the international and damage the state of Israel. evaluate perhaps God isn't on your facet. A organic disaster in Indonesia and Malaysa claims the lives of over one hundred,000 muslims. each warfare that Israel has fought has resulted in it gaining more suitable territory or being in a more suitable useful protection rigidity position. This warfare isn't any exception. There at the prompt are Israeli troops in Southern Lebanon. because the UN will in all likelihood not get its act at the same time, Israel received't withdraw. ultimately they are going to consolidate their position on the Litani River and commence to neutralize all the Hizbullah stuck south of that line. Refugees will commence to go away Southern Lebanon lower back. Civil warfare will smash out in Lebanon and Sunnis and Lebanese Christians will take out their anger on the Shiites. That replaced into the biblical boundary of the promised land promised to the Jews by skill of God. That replaced into the position the position Moses died and Joshua lead the Israelis into the land of Palestine/Lebanon (Opps I advise Canan). The government and civil do not attack Israel.
Israel try to find a reason to destroy buildings, facilities in.... Lebanon and they confirm to push Lebanon civilisation to return Stone Age.

tim d er dim d quote Bush said it I can too, bullshit!

Defending yourself is one thing. When the Germans invaded Warsaw then occupied the city, terrorists and snipers resisted and attacked isolated German units killing several dozen German troops. Germany's response was to level a third of the city. Germany's response was called criminal.

Somebody slaps your face, so you grab a baseball bat and bash them 20 times. But you're just protecting yourself, right? and those children? well they may grow up and slap your face, or even something worse. So they've got to go too, Right?

I guess if you have a good enough reason then anything is all right.
