RE-READ THE QUESTION!!!!

1. I did not say it would ALWAYS RUIN your life.
2. Because it happened to me, I'd rather be embarrassed to ask than figuring out what to do when my kid turns 18.
3. They aren't cute little babies forever.
4. Look at the nature of the teens that we gave birth to 15/16 years ago.
AND the quickest way to lose a lover is to toss and unwanted baby at him.

I am a teen, and I have to say that we are not as ignorant as many think. Where I come from, we are all very well educated about effective methods of Birth Control and ineffective methods. Most teens do understand pregnancy and are deathly afraid of it. There are just a few that are either uninformed or just don't care. It is those teens that get pregnant and make it seem to the rest of the world that teens are stupid sex crazed animals.

Ladybug, you do NOT know everything! Birth control does NOT always work. I have 2 children to show for that. My fiance and I wanted to wait 5 years before having kids; hence the reason I was on birth control. Our kids may have been unplanned, but we love them more than anything. I was 18 and he was 21 when we had our first child. As for ruining our lives, hasn't happened. I'm going to college next year to be a registered nurse. Maybe you should preach to these girls about taking care of their own responsibilities instead of being a burden on taxpayers instead. Why not teach that welfare is NOT a way of life? I think it's pathetic when people sit there and stereotype ALL teen parents. Yes, I was 18 but technically still a teen when I had my children(18 with my first, 19 with my second). My kids make their father and I very happy.

Oh ladybug, do you remember being young? So many kids think "it will never happen to me," or, I WANT to have a baby," or, "Well we can always get an abortion." Kids don't understand that it's not that simple and it CAN happen to them. ALso a lot of teens don't have a clue about how you get pregnant - my best friends son got his 14 yr old gf pregnant because he was using the "withdrawal" method - neither of them knew that precum can get you pregnant. So at 16 he was a daddy. Do we blame him, or do we blame a school system that doesn't teach proper methods of birth control?

Also, do you know how embarassing it is for kids to try and buy condoms, especially if they live in a small town? Or ask the family doctor for the Pill? It's not as accessible as people think.

So while they may understand in theory about taking precautions, when it comes down to it, their hormones are stronger than anything else and they just do it. It's not stupidity, it's ignorance... and there is a huge difference.

The only reason teens have babies is cuz they don't want to lose their lovers.

It will take their own personal choices because some are easier to influence than others. Teenagers think they are invincible.

It doesn't matter. They won't listen. They're gonna have sex, whether anyone wants them to or not.
