Typical of Israel. They kill innocent Palestinians everyday (supposedly in the name of killing 'terrorists'). They are just digging themselves even deeper in a hole they will not be able to get out of one day.

The US government does not 'turn a blind eye' to anything related to Israel. Turning a blind eye is a phrase meant to imply knowledge of a reprehensible deed without attenuating action. American actions in dealing with Israel are inconsistent with that definition. The United States may or may not recognize Israel's actions as damning. I'm assuming you do not speak for the State or Defense Departments, Congress, or the Executive, right? Then, you cannot, in good conscience, use that bit of lexis to describe our behavior.

US actions are guided by obligation and precedence. How could we even conceive of decrying the awfulness of Israel's response when our response to a non-domestic terrorist attack was to wage open war? Any other position taken by the government would have lacked consistency. Don't you see--obligation and precedence.

The Middle East very well may be beyond hope. At least, I reserve little for it. Sometimes, the only peace to be had is on the other side of war. The Israelis, as a people of only a few million surrounded by a few hundred million enemies, know this better than most.

India captured three Pakistani military infiltrators a few years back..

Pakistan downed an Indian aircraft and captured its pilot who ejected to a safe landing...

None still fired out nukes onto others...

There are always ways out to sort these things...

but Isreal...
It may look small...and all surrounded by Muslim countries..all prying on it...
But the truth is that its one of the most well equipped nuclear state without officially having the status...
(Wonder why the Atomic council keep bullying Iran and N.Korea but never dares to take Isreal to court)

The whole of USA and its resources are at standby 24/7 for this princely Isreali state...

I bet Isreal would be justified in the media for attacking a country and killing civillians on the pretext of a captured military soldier...
(by the way the soldier was not kidnapped while he was asleep in his house...He was caught in an ambush against the Labanese)

The Palestinians and the Labanese ask a simple question of releasing their prisoners who are rotting in the brutal Isreali Jails..in exchange of their soldiers...no bloodshed required..

But not only will Isreal spill the blood of civillians openly in any country it wants to...but more ironically all the 'peace pundits' around the globe will come out shouting...its absolute correctness in the context!

Isreal sucks!

If nobody has noticed but this whole thing with Israel can possibly the start of World War 3. If Israel accidently drops a bomb in Syria, Iran and Syria will be involved. And as always, the United States will be involved to protect its allies. So this is the conundrum:
1) Attacks on Lebannon
2) Iran gets involved
3) US gets involved to protect its allies
4) Israel will drop bombs in Syria causing world rage and Islamic jihad.
5) The US interveins and everyone watch the start of World War 3.
Possible allies in World War 3:
1) US
2) Russia
3) Japan
4) Britain
5) Israel
6) Austrailia
Possible Enemies of World War 3:
1) North Korea
2) Iran
3) Syria
4) Iraq
5) The Islamic community
Neutral Countres of World War 3:
1) Europe
2) South America
3) China
4) Mexico
So I think this is how it will play out...someone will launch a nuclear strike against the US or its allies....the US fires back and the world is screwed. Just a few cents of my time.

LESSEN CASUALTIES?!?!?!? They just bombed a SUBURB! How the hell do you call that lessening casualties? I don't care WHAT went on between Lebanon and those two soldiers--it's not reason enough to blow up hundreds of innocent men, women and CHILDREN! It's stuff like this--and everyone wants to look at me funny when I say Isreal needs to be rung up for war crimes. The US government turns a blind eye to this sort of thing--they're too busy bombing suburbs in Iraq.

And don't try to tell me about how many people actually died. I'm pretty sure when they made the bomb, they didn't say--"okay, this bomb is gonna injure twenty, but only kill three." Usually, when you bomb people, you mean to kill them.

I think we need to support the Israelis more. The only kind of person that could support the Palistineans is either an uninformed person or one that simply has no feelings.
