It depends on the email service you are using. For Yahoo you just select (download attachments) by clicking or double clicking on that statement which is usually down at the bottem under the attachment list. After that you have to select a location to put them in. Probably the best place is on the desktop for users that are not real familier with the directory structure on a computer. Then you will be able to find them. You also have the opportunity to rename them while you are selecting the location to place them. Just edit the name that is shown on the screen before you close the window by pressing the ok button. Other email services are similar. If the file is a picture it may take a long time to download. Larger files take a long time. Bitmap Pictures and movie clips are usually large files. Some pictures such as jpg's and gif's are not so large and don't take too long.

it depends on what email service you are using. usually you will see the document name (e.g mydocument.doc; if it is a word file) with an office pin right before it. when you click on the document it should ask you if you want to download it. then it might ask you if you want to save or open the file. you save if you want to keep a copy or just open it if you just want to see it. sometimes saving has less problems when opening the document. on the other hand you don't want to save every attachment you get because of memory

I usualy open them up by double left click. Then if i like it, i drag it onto my desktop, and from there i can send it to freinds by draging it from the desktop and dropping it on their emails. But i also copy them to a cd,--I have quite a lot of funny emails stored on disc.
