It more or less goes back to the 1940's, when israel was carved out of palestine by the british to be used as a nation for the jews. Basically, the arabs think that the jews stole the land. Which isn't an entirely unjustified position.
Since then, there've been plenty of petty struggles and boarder disputes and attacks each way, all just adding to the anger. By now, it has taken on a life of its own.

The land was not carved out by the British, like someone else answered here. It was done by the UN in 1948.
The British wanted nothing to do with that because of what happened in India when the British gave them Independence.
India began to fall apart soon after the British granted independence and that is why Pakistan exists today.
The Palestinians felt they had their land taken from them unjustly and so did every other Arab Nation.
That's the reason for the few Wars that have been fought by Israel against at least Six Arab Nations and the reason for the many terrorist attacks against Israel, in the present.
Most of the Arab Nations still feel that Israel does not belong there.
I disagree with that because it was the Israelites land Thousands of years ago, long before the Arabs got there. I am not Israeli or Jewish...It's just the way I feel.
It was taken from the Israelites by the Romans, Persians (Arabs), they were enslaved by the Ancient Egyptians and they were even persecuted by the Crusades.
Hell, they were even almost taken out of existence by Hitler.
It was called Judea long before it was named Palestine.
Saying that, I feel that all parties involved should now find a way to live with each other.

I'm not sure who you mean by "her neighbors." Palestine is the most common dancing partner. Palestine's mere existence is debatable; some nations refuse to recognize a separate Palestinian state, and as such consider them a terrorist faction. Others want Israel to just give them a break and see if they can work something out.
It's just a constant battle of religious ideologies. They all want the same little strip of property, and they're totally unwilling to compromise. It's not all Israel's fault, but they're so used to fighting one another that they'll take any excuse. When you have a nation like Israel, where pretty much any adult can be called into military service, that gives these small countries plenty of firepower.

Well, for starters, Israel is home to the people who kicked out the previous dwellers of the land (the Palestinians) and tried to get all the Jews to migrate to Israel to form a home for themselves, regardless of what the Middle Eastern countries thought. Currently, and for the past few decades as well, Israel has been involved in the conflict of land ownership and treatment of the Palestinians. For example, all the electricity, water, gas, etc. are controlled by Israel- so they can shut it all down whenever they please, because they control Palestine. Just in general, Palestinians are treated as second-class citizens and are forced to follow the Israelis orders or there will be grave consequences. Although I don't condone the suicide bombings, I can certainly understand what would drive those people to such desperate action, because Israel is terrorizing every aspect of Palestinian life.

this happened even during the biblical times. even during the old testament era, the moses-era... see, truth is Israel and what is happening out there is a complicated assortment of reasons. Religious, Geographic, Pride, etc..... Notice that Israel is the culminating point of all religion. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Greek Orthodox, etc... and that it manage to survive shows how resilient they are thru the years... (thousand of years, yet they endure). And Israel sits among nations around her where Islam abounds? Say Israel is in another continent, do you think that the palestines, the libyans, the iraqis, etc... would wage war on them? so you see, their war happened even before there were a billion people in the planet...

Simple. The Jewish people are God's chosen according to the Bible. They are hated for that, especially by Muslims (it goes all the way back to Jacob and Esau in the Old Testament, if I'm not mistaken). But notice that whenever they're attacked, they don't just survive, but thrive--regardless of their relatively tiny size? I think that we can learn a lot from Israel. And I hope we do.
No, I am not Jewish. I am a Christian. But I support Israel 110%! She has every right to defend herself.

If you knew something about Islam, you would understand that muslims are commanded by Muhammed to kill all infidels, and all nonbelievers in islam. especially israelites. Israel just wants to live in peace in their homeland. of course real life is never this simple, but this is the main reason of conflict. It all started with the sons of Abraham, in the Old Testament. check it out.

Have you been paying attention or did you just wake up from a coma that you went into when you were ten? Go to the library and do some research on Isreal's history, when it came into existence, who's land was taken to form it, etc
This has been going on for decades.

Israel, like the Jews in Hitler's death camps, didn't do anything to deserve this hatred.
