I moved out of the house and I would like to know if I would be able to date. I haven't done anything sexual with my soon to be ex and have been out of the house for a couple of months.

You may need to refer the law book in your country. Law varies from countries.
Here in Singapore, a 3-year separation is mandatory before Divorce is granted. During the separation, both parties are free to make new friends, however, it is advised to refrain from sexual activities. The 3-year separation serves as a cool-down period and a chance of reconciliation of the marriage.
Unless the divorce was filed under a different ground (infidelity that is) which is a quicker process that doesn't need a separation period to fulfill.
Personally, I would avoid any 'complication' until the divorce process is completed. (which I did)

you can date right away, it does not affect divorce proceeding since most states are no fault states and cheating can no longer be brought in as grounds, only insanity or irreconcilable differences. you can have sex, you can even have a gf, you just can't marry until divorce has been finalized.
but then dating right away say more about you lack of self control and poor choices more than anything else, or basically out of the frying pan and into the fire

when is the divorce final? cant you wait that long? heres what i think, what if you meet the girl of your dream,ok not the girl of your dreams but a girl you would think about dating and she asked you, are you married, what if you say no then later she finds out you really are married(because techinally you still are married), what will happen then? do youthink she will still want ot date liar? this is not a good relationship starter, lying already, i think you should wait until you are really divorced and that way you will be ready for the divorce once it happens, have friends but dont get into a serious relationship right after.good luck.,

If you obtain a legal separation, you can not be accused of cheating.
If you live in a community property state, and your ex is a few chips short of a picnic, you may want to have that signed as soon as possible.
Some men refuse to admit when they want until it is no longer available.

I wouldn't jump into another relationship too fast. Also, he could accuse you of cheating. If I were to do it , I would do it secretly for now and not tell anyone my business.

God please don't do this. If you dont have
kids , i guess you can screw up your life
and jump from one relationship to the next.
Fill the hole ya know.

If you have kids do not do this. It is painful
for a child, there is more than just yourself
and that child comes first.

Either way -don't be a screw up.
