It depends on how fancy you want to get. You could use proxify.com and use their free services or subscribe and get access to an extended list of addresses. If you can't get to proxify.com just change the top level domain (the .com part) to something else like biz, usa, or net. If you want to get more complex but more secure you could try setting up tunnel from your work to your home and use your home connection to surf.

If Smartfilter works through dns requests I would suggest setting up your own tunnel. If you have win XP you can install cygwin, ssh, and squid. Cygwin provides the operating system, ssh allows you to connect to your home computer, and squid acts as your own personal proxy server. This setup assumes that you have a broadband connection and properly set up your router (if you have one) to allow ssh traffic.

When you went to work and signed papers and all kinds of forms, did you sign one for the use of your computer? Did you have an IT person do a seminar on the company usage only of your computer? If you signed anything about not doing anything except company work, you can be fired for trying to get past Smartfilter. Even if you didn't sign anything, you are assumed to be of average intellect and know not to abuse the computer. Employees are a company's greatest liability and the cause of viruses, and all kinds of damage to the data the company owns. Somebody at your business can check every key you hit while at your job, and you can be fired immediately for trying to do something other than work. If you need your job, don't try to do anything else.

Sometimes if you type in the URL in Yahoo Search or Google, it bypasses the SmartFilter.

Like an Internet filter?
Try www.freebieproxy.com
or search Google for "Free Proxy" or something like that.
