I have this problem too, especially when it's warm in the summer. You should talk to your doctor, as it could be a sign of high blood pressure. Limit your salt intake, increase your walking, and drink lots of fluids. But see your doctor!

Ditto on more water and exercise. Make sure you drink at least one liter of distilled water per 40 lbs. of body weight with two level teaspoons of baking soda per liter. Worked for swelling in legs and a number of other problems. Also fits well in any weight loss program. Another option is a good herbal diuretic mix from vitamin or health food store. There is also possible heart problems and there are prescription diuretics that work.
Drinking more water when bloated didn't make sense to me but it works. More good water allows cells and blood to make the necessary chemical exchanges for proper body function. The baking soda helps balance body Ph which in turn reduces need for fat storage. In three days you will begin to feel difference. Demise of swelling may not take place for several weeks. You will not notice the taste change in the water after a few days.
