YOU DON'T REV THE ENGINE IN A MODERN CAR. IT KEEPS THE MOTOR AT THE IDEAL THE RPM"S VIA THE COMPUTER. OVER RIDING THE COMPUTER CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
NOW IF YOU TRYING TO SHOW OFF AT A STOP LIGHT, YOU'D DO IT IN GEAR USING THE BRAKE FOR A QUICK "GET AWAY". IF THE CAR WERE IN PARK OR NEUTRAL YOU'D LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT WASTING PRECIOUS TIME SHIFTING INTO DRIVE.
SO ALL IN ALL, THERE'S NO REASON TO REV YOUR CAR.

Yes, there is no clutch on an automatic transmission dear and you do not need to rev it unless it won't start for some reason. Automatic transmissions have a fluid coupling or torque converter and a set of planetary gearsets to provide a range of torque multiplication. Do not rev your engine if it is already running, it is stupid since you make the transmission and engine work for nothing.

You rev the car engine by putting it on neutral and then stepping on the acceleration.

You can rev it in neutral but it is better to rev it in park if your already moving at a descent spped if your stoped then rev it in neutral.

Neutral yes, but I would never recommend park. That can't be good for the transmission!
