I suppose you desire a more pointed answer than the generalizations scribed above concerning terrorism in its entirety. Terrorism is both cowardly and unnerving from the perspective of a military power, but from the terrorist viewpoint, it's holy (at least, so far as it pertains to Jihad). Such is the reason we cannot effectively combat terrorism. Faith is inherently illogical, and those waging Jihad have the fervor of religious indoctrination in them. We cannot reason with terrorists, nor can we show them compassion. They are the world's enemies, and they are fomenting aggresions against them from all sides.

With that said, it is important to note that terrorism is too often associated with Jihadists, and that the attacks in India can be more readily ascribed to a disgruntled Kashmir national.

The Islamic Jihadists, in my opinion, are not foolish enough to arouse animous in India, for what India lacks in technology, they more than compensate for in manpower. If the US had access to that manpower...well, let's say the Muslim extremists don't want that.

Violence anywhere is senceless. There is no reason for killing people in the name of any cause. If one must kill to get their point across, the point is not worth hearing.
