They should pop up when u log into the messenger.

Log into Yahoo Messegner. You can not see offline message inbox. When you log into yahoo messenger, You will get your message as pop up message. Download Messenger: http://messengers.yahoo.com

you can read offline message if the person send the message is online

If it's yahoo, then if someone sent you a message while your off line, it will automatically pop up when you sign in.
