Definitely, yes. I once met a very wonderful, funny, and intelligent guy over the internet almost 4 years ago one afternoon who I had an instant bond with, almost as if I had known him for years! Our personalities just meshed so perfectly. After 8 months of chatting (dating), we finally decided to meet. Needless to say, we're still a couple and looking into marriage sometime in the future. :)

Yes, it has happened to me. I think that it's not weird because the best way to really love someone is getting to know them and talking to someone on the internet is a good way to do that because you're not distracted by looks or wondering what that person is wearing. Althought the down side is that you have to worry, "is this person lying to me and being truthful?" I feel you can have feelings for someone you talk to the internet but unless you're able and willing to meet this person to see who they are on a daily basis you shouldn't jump into anything serious.

yes.
maybe all you see is a font but the communication is important. i met a guy on-line who spent more time talking to me than my real life boyfriend. the on-line guy outlasted the real bf in fact.
i think too often those feelings are interpreted as love when it is more of a need for attention that is otherwise lacking.

Yes. I think at this point, thanks to the net, a lot of people have experienced this. it's hard to know if the connection will be the same in real life though, sadly. A curse of the information age I suppose...

Emotions can be tricky – often its ones own wants and desires that get interpreted.
People need someone to hold them -- to look into each others eyes and know their lives will never be the same from that moment on.

Oh, definitely. I met my boyfriend on a game we used to play online. And it just happened, neither of us were looking for it, we were introduced in-game by a mutual friend and soon became inseparable. Now we're together and couldn't be happier.

In ordinary life our ways happen mechanically,
but what you make reference to is controlled by accident,
feelings respond to attraction,
external influences,
a combination of circumstances that are
independent of free will, it just happens.
We exist with accidents;
events with no connection...
or fate; our destinies to why we were born....
or desires; our willingness to want .......
all cause & effect ...
